Judgment Rendered in Your Favor
"A judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom." — Daniel 7:22
She Was Afraid to Tell Anyone
The morning after she presented her case, she said nothing.
Their lives were in complete disorder. She did not know what God would do with her petitions, and she was fully aware that He could rule against them — in which case they would be in a worse position than before.
So she kept silent and waited.
That is worth noting. This is not a technique with a guaranteed outcome. Bringing a case before a just Judge means accepting the possibility of an unfavorable ruling. If you are not willing to receive that, you are not ready to ask for a hearing.
What Happened That Day
Later that day they visited the pastor of a tiny church where they were to speak that evening — an eighty-four-year-old man who knew nothing whatever about their circumstances.
As they sat listening to him share what God had done in his life, the presence of the Lord became tangible. Suddenly, mid-sentence, he stopped and said, "Let's pray."
As they bowed their heads, the Holy Spirit began speaking to her husband with unusual clarity. As was his habit, he simply opened his mouth and said what he was hearing.
"Honey, the Lord is speaking to me so clearly. He says that as of this hour, I am breaking the yoke of fear off your lives."
She began to weep, because that had been one of her petitions — and her husband knew nothing about the night before.
He continued. The Lord had called them into full-time work and would make a way. He was not to take the job he had been offered. They were to return home immediately and a house would be provided.
One by one, she heard her petitions answered through her husband's mouth.
Finally he paused, looked puzzled, and said slowly, "And the Lord says that He has rendered judgment in our favor."
Then he turned and asked, "Did you pray last night?"
What Followed
The Judge of the Universe had decided against their adversary.
They returned home. Within one month, through a series of miracles, God provided a brand new house. Their finances reversed. The nightmares and flashbacks that had persisted for years, resisting every prayer and every deliverance, stopped entirely and never returned.
And three months later, the earthly judge presiding over the three-year court battle that had consumed everything they owned suddenly signed off the entire case, ending it.
It Is Not Only for Ministers
Another couple, who had lost a business through a broken contract and had fought a losing court battle for ten years — hundreds of thousands of dollars gone to attorneys with no result — heard this teaching while facing yet another financial crisis, worn out and discouraged.
They went home, carefully and prayerfully searched and cleansed their lives, drew up their case and petitions, and together brought it before the Judge of the Universe. They asked Him to render judgment and to bring that judgment to pass in the earthly courts.
Exactly one month later they were summoned unexpectedly to a hearing that had not been scheduled for over a year. The attorneys on both sides had no time to review the case.
They appeared before a panel of four judges who obviously knew everything about the case already — who corrected the lawyers when they misstated facts and whose minds were clearly made up before they entered the room.
That same day, judgment was rendered in their favor, ending a ten-year ordeal.
Point to Ponder
The enemy was prolonging their season of suffering. The righteous Judge brought it to an end.
Verse to Remember
"For the LORD will judge His people and have compassion on His servants, when He sees that their power is gone." — Deuteronomy 32:36
Question to Consider
Am I willing to accept a ruling that goes against me — and if not, why not?
Today's Practice
If you prepared your case in the previous lesson, present it today. Fully, out loud, unhurried.
Then do the hardest part: leave it.
Do not repeat it daily. Do not rehearse the petitions anxiously. You have presented your case to a Judge who does not forget and does not require reminding.
Watch for the answer, and expect it to come through channels you did not arrange — a word from someone who knows nothing of your situation, a door that opens without your effort, a call you were not expecting.
And keep a record. Write down the date you presented your petitions. Write down what happens afterward. You will want that record later, and so will your children.
Prayer
Father, I have presented my case, and now I leave it with You.
You are a completely just Judge. You see everything I cannot see. You know what I have done and what has been done to me. I trust You to rule rightly, even if the ruling costs me something.
I will not take the case back. I will not rehearse it anxiously. I will not try to argue it again tomorrow. It is in Your hands.
And Father, if the ruling is in my favor, let it come to pass — in the heavenly places and in the earthly ones. Bring what You have decided into the courts, the offices, the households, and the circumstances of this world.
Restrain my adversary. End the sifting. Let the time come to possess what You promised.
In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Present the case, then leave it. You are not arguing before a judge who needs reminding.
