A Doorway Into Your Life

"Do not be deceived: 'Bad company ruins good morals.'" — 1 Corinthians 15:33

What a Tie Actually Does

An unholy soul tie is a doorway.

It allows a spirit operating through another person to gain access to you.

That is the whole mechanism, and once you see it, a range of otherwise inexplicable experiences becomes intelligible.

The Case That Illustrates It

Consider a woman of forty-nine in hospice care — six weeks or less to live — dying of Parkinson's disease. She had no strength left. The only thing she could move was the little finger of her right hand, and she could barely speak above a whisper.

A care worker asked how she had come to have Parkinson's.

She whispered back: "Oh honey, you can't catch Parkinson's disease. If you could, you wouldn't be in this room with me today." Then she added: "My husband had Parkinson's, and after he died, I was diagnosed with it."

The care worker understood the principle and asked gently: "Did you ever sleep with your husband before you were married?"

"Yes. What does that have to do with anything?"

Everything, as it turned out. The Parkinson's appeared to be a spirit of discipline that had been operating through her husband. Because of their sexual relationship before marriage, an unholy soul tie existed. When he died, that tie provided access — and the spirit shifted to her.

She repented of that sin, and prayer was made for the disease to be removed.

The following week she was sitting up in bed, color returned, eyes bright. The week after that she was gone — discharged from hospice, because she had improved so much.

From death row to walking out, in under two weeks.

What This Explains

Why afflictions run in couples. One spouse develops something and the other follows.

Why some conditions appear after a death. Not grief — an actual condition, arriving with the timing of a transfer.

Why a person's character can shift after a particular relationship. A pattern that was never theirs suddenly is.

Why leaving does not end it. You moved out, moved on, remarried, and the thing came with you.

Be careful here. This does not mean that every illness shared within a marriage is spiritual transfer. Couples share environments, habits, stresses, and sometimes genes by proximity of lifestyle. Do not turn this into suspicion of your spouse.

But do notice when the timing and pattern do not fit any natural explanation.

Point to Ponder

A tie is not a memory or an attachment. It is an access route, and it works in both directions.

Question to Consider

Has something appeared in my life that seems to have come from someone rather than from me?

Today's Practice

Look at your soul tie list from a different angle: what did each person carry?

For each name, write what you know of their patterns. Addiction. Rage. Depression. Illness. Fear. Control. Promiscuity. Financial chaos.

Now compare that against your issue grid.

Look for overlap. Is there something on your issue grid that also appears beside a name on your tie list?

Be careful with this exercise. Overlap is not proof — patterns spread through learning and imitation too, and children absorb what they grow up around without any spiritual mechanism required.

But where you find something that arrived in your life without ever being characteristic of you before, and that also belonged to someone you are tied to, note it. That combination is worth taking to God directly.

Prayer

Father, some things in my life do not seem to have started with me.

If anything has come to me through a connection with another person, show me. Show me which door it came through and who it came from.

I do not want to become suspicious of the people I love. Give me discernment rather than fear.

But whatever is in my life that was never mine, I want it gone — and I want the doorway it came through closed. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

She had not caught it. It had transferred through a door left open before their wedding.
