Curses Sent Through the Spirit Realm
"Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight." — Proverbs 26:2
The Easiest to Break, the Hardest to Detect
There is a category of curse that requires no object, no drawing, no personal item, and no contact with you at all.
Someone goes to a practitioner — in whatever religious system is local to them — and asks for a spell to be placed on a person they know. What is called a spell is a curse: spirits summoned through ritual and dispatched to a particular person for a specific purpose.
These are among the easiest curses to break, because in most cases no legal ground exists. And they are among the hardest to know about, because there is nothing to find.
How You Learn About Them
Usually, only the Holy Spirit will alert you. This is one of the clearest reasons why the ability to hear from God matters more than any technique in this study.
Sometimes there are hints. Threats made. Rage expressed. Hatred voiced. A person who has said, in so many words, that they will make you pay.
But hints are not certainty. The person who hates you may do nothing. The person who says nothing may do something.
Which is why the practical answer is not investigation but habit.
The Habit Worth Building
You do not need to know that a specific curse has been sent in order to break it.
Make it part of your regular praying to command every curse sent against you — from any source, by any means, known or unknown — to be broken in the name of Jesus Christ, and to command every spirit associated with such curses to leave.
That prayer costs you two minutes. It requires no information you do not have. And it addresses an entire category of attack that you would otherwise never detect.
"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD." (Isaiah 54:17)
Notice the second half of that verse. The weapon does not prosper, but you condemn the tongue. It is an active response, not a passive guarantee.
Do Not Live Looking Over Your Shoulder
A necessary warning. This teaching can produce a person who suspects every difficulty and every difficult person.
That is not vigilance; it is torment, and it does more damage than most curses.
The remedy is the habit above. Deal with it comprehensively, regularly, and briefly — then get on with your life. A person who has covered the whole category in prayer does not need to identify each individual instance.
"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You." (Isaiah 26:3)

You do not need to identify a specific attack in order to break it. Cover the whole category and get on with your life.

Do I have any regular practice of breaking what has been sent against me, or do I only pray about it when something is obviously wrong?
Today's Practice
Add this to your regular prayer — daily if you are in a season of pressure, weekly otherwise. Write it on a card:
"In the name of Jesus Christ, I take authority over every curse sent against me, my spouse, my children, my household, my finances, my health, my work, and my ministry — from any source, by any means, whether I know of it or not. I command every one of them to be broken now. I command every spirit associated with those curses to leave and never return. I cover my family with the blood of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against us shall prosper."
Pray it once, mean it, and then go about your day without scanning the horizon.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You that no weapon formed against me will prosper. That is not a wish; it is the heritage of Your servants.
In Your name I take authority over every curse sent against me and my household — through ritual, through words, through hatred, through any means at all, known to me or entirely hidden. I command every one of them broken now, and I command every spirit associated with them to leave and never return.
Cover my family with Your blood. Guard our health, our minds, our marriage, our children, our work, and our peace.
And Lord, keep me from suspicion. I do not want to live scanning for enemies. Let my mind be stayed on You and kept in perfect peace.
In Your name. Amen.
A curse without cause shall not alight. Break the category, then rest.
