Curses Placed on Animals

"Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will." — Matthew 10:29

A Point of Attack People Overlook

Believers involved in significant spiritual conflict commonly experience something they never expected: curses sent onto their animals.

Household pets are targeted. Livestock is targeted. Sometimes the sign is unmistakable — whiskers cut off on one side of a cat's face, or the same on a dog, which is a deliberate mark rather than an accident.

The purpose is straightforward. Harm what a family loves, create grief and disruption, and distract from the work.

Many farmers have been driven into bankruptcy through the loss of livestock to disease or infertility caused by curses placed on the animals.

Why Animals Are Easy to Clear

Here is the encouraging part, and it follows directly from everything you have learned.

Animals have no sin. They have made no agreements, sworn no oaths, honored no other gods, and kept nothing unclean.

Which means spirits have no legal right to be in them or to afflict them.

Every curse on an animal falls into the third category — a curse sent without any right at all. And that category is the easiest of all to break.

There is no repentance step, because the animal has nothing to repent of. You simply exercise authority.

What to Do

Anoint the animal with oil and pray over it.

Command any curse to be broken in the name of Jesus Christ.

Command every spirit to leave the animal at once in the name of Jesus.

Then pray for complete healing — physical and emotional.

That last step is easy to forget and genuinely important. Animals cannot tell you how they are hurting. Spirits harm animals physically and emotionally exactly as they harm people, and an animal that has been afflicted may carry fear, aggression, or withdrawal long after the affliction has been dealt with.

Ask the Lord to heal both. He made these creatures and He is intimately involved in His creation.

God Cares About Animals

Some readers will feel this is a trivial subject. Scripture disagrees.

"Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will." (Matthew 10:29)

"A righteous man regards the life of his animal." (Proverbs 12:10)

"You, LORD, preserve man and beast." (Psalm 36:6)

The Sabbath command explicitly included livestock. The book of Jonah ends with God expressing concern for the cattle of Nineveh. Animals are covered in the covenant with Noah.

Your Father made them, and He is more than willing to heal them when you pray.

Point to Ponder

Animals have no sin, which means no spirit has any right to them. Every such curse is groundless — and groundless curses break easily.

Verse to Remember

"A righteous man regards the life of his animal." — Proverbs 12:10

Question to Consider

Have my animals suffered unexplained illness, injury, or behavior changes — and did I ever think to pray about it?

Today's Practice

If you have animals, pray over them today. All of them.

Take oil, put your hand on each one, and pray aloud:

"In the name of Jesus Christ, I break every curse sent against this animal, and I command every spirit afflicting it to leave now and never return. Lord, heal this creature completely — body and mind. Thank You for making it and for entrusting it to me."

If you keep livestock, walk the fields and barns and pray the same over the herd, the flock, and the land they graze.

And if an animal has died in circumstances that never made sense, do not dismiss the possibility. Pray over the remaining animals, cleanse the property, and ask the Lord for protection over what is left.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the creatures You have entrusted to me. You made them, You sustain them, and not one of them falls without Your knowledge.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I break every curse sent against the animals in my care, and I command every spirit sent to afflict them to leave now and never return.

Heal them completely, Lord — in body and in whatever they carry that I cannot see. Restore what has been damaged. Protect them going forward.

And thank You that You care about these small things. It tells me a great deal about how You care about me. In Jesus' name. Amen.

No sin, no legal right, no claim. Anoint, break it, and ask for healing.
